Is FocusHub free?
Yes, FocusHub is completely free to use with no hidden charges.
Do I need an account?
No. Start using timers immediately without creating an account.
Does it work offline?
Yes. FocusHub is a PWA and works offline once loaded. You can also install it from your browser menu.
Will my timer keep running if I switch tabs?
Yes. Active timers use real elapsed time, so switching tabs does not slow the clock. The custom countdown also saves its state locally and can recover from an accidental refresh. See the timer-accuracy methodology for the timing model, automated checks, and browser limitations.
Where is my session history stored?
Entirely in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to any server, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Why is there no sound when the timer finishes?
Browsers may block audio until you interact with the page. Press Start directly, check the device volume, and confirm that the browser or operating system is not muting the tab.
What does Keep awake do?
On supported browsers, it asks the device to keep the display awake while the timer is running. The control only appears when the browser supports screen wake lock, and battery or operating-system rules can still override it.
What are the keyboard shortcuts?
Use Space to start or pause, R to reset, and F to enter the isolated full-screen view. Pomodoro timers also use N to move to the next phase, and the stopwatch uses L to record a lap.
